Online degree education is more demanding than a campus education because of the flexible learning environment. Most campus university are now offering online degree in some format. Yale university just announced it was going to offer free web classes and Harvard university has just begun offering classes online. The future of education is online. Most people do not have the flexibility or financial ability to take classes on campus. As education costs continue to soar, people will seek alternative methods to gaining their degree. For the campus learning, the cons are obvious as well. Social interaction, campus life experiences and the ability to speak face to face with an instructor are all examples. The bottom line is that online degree education offers an alternative and allows the student to choose their own delivery mechanism.
